The Zambezi Off-Road Club hosts the annual ‘Victoria Falls Enduro’ fundraiser with all proceeds donated to Non Profit Organisations that support the wildlife and domestic animals in the region - Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit, Bhejane Trust, Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust and Veterinarians for Animal Welfare Zimbabwe.
The Vic Falls Enduro is a fun but very tough off-road enduro trail ride for motorbikes and quadbikes in the Hwange District Communal Lands surrounding the beautiful Victoria Falls and Zambezi River. Riders come from Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. In 2019 Pro Rider Travis Teasdale lead the ride. The start and finish of both the race and fun ride is at the Pits at Gorges Lodge. There are various spectator viewing points along the track. Entry is free for the public and children are welcome. Food and drinks are available at the Pits and there is a popular Gin Tent along the track nearby.
The enduro is run over two days - the first ride of 40km is the sighting lap for riders - and ridden twice. In the evening riders and their teams gather at a Victoria Falls venue to enjoy drinks and a meal together. The second ride (on the next day) is the actual ride and timed. After this ride there is a gala evening function on the banks of the beautiful Zambezi with a three course meal, music, prize giving and highlights of the event shown on a big screen.
Victoria Falls Enduro is a fun-filled, action packed weekend!
