Have you ever dreamt of a picnic under the palms on the banks of the Zambezi? We made this dream come true!
Guests could buy a basket, handmade by ladies in Binga, put together by Sarah Lilford of Dusty Road, who lined them with a colourful cloth, and packed them with a delectable cheeseboard and other eats all contributed by the Vic Falls community, including a bottle of fine wine. The basket, cloth and wonderful teak board by Rocco were to keep.
Guests could also enjoy a gourmet hamburger or chocolate desert from Little Monkey, an ice cream from Popsicles or Gelato Crema, a cappuccino from Vic Falls Coffee bar, a croissant from the Le Croissant. The bar, run by ProBar, kept the drinks flowing.
Prayer Soul and then Train Gang played nice and mellow as the sun set. Then Ghapi, the singing drummer from South Africa, rocked us till late.
The many contributions to make this such a successful event were wonderful and we wish we could thank all here.
Shearwater, Liquorama, Riverside Venue, Chobe Distributors, ProBar, Wild Horizons, Victoria Falls Hotel and Africa Albida were our Gold Sponsors.
We also thank all those that came and supported the VAWZ cause!
