Dr Manning was born and grew up in Bulawayo, graduating from the University of Zimbabwe in 1989. She worked in private practice in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe for three years before moving to the UK in 1993. She worked full time in her own small animal Veterinary Practice in the UK for 25 years, before deciding to return to Zimbabwe.
Dr Manning has valuable experience in animal welfare work in Asia – abused bears in the bile industry, elephants, cats, dogs and captive wildlife. She has a post-graduate qualification in Veterinary Forensics and Law and holds a Dangerous Drugs License enabling her to dart wildlife needing assistance.
